Rev. Pitts shared the following message about the plans for returning to in person worship services, on Sunday, May 17, 2020
I want to say a few words about our plans for making a decision about in person worship services.
While the Governor and the CDC has published guidelines for reopening churches, Green Castle WILL NOT have in person services during the Month of May. Our Leadership Team, which includes me, the Deacons and Trustees, as well as our Business Administrator, Minister of Worship, and our Minister of Ministries are reviewing all of the guidelines. As I stated last week, we want to be sure that when we return to having in person services and events, we can do it safely and in compliance with all guidelines.
Later this week, you will receive a survey that will give you the chance to tell us your expectations and concerns about returning to in person services. It is important that you complete the survey. Your input will help us make the decisions that are best for all of us.
Lastly, I want to thank each of you for your faithfulness to God and each other during this pandemic. God has never failed us during the 38 years we have been together. And, in the words of that old James Cleveland song “I don’t believe He’s brought us this far to leave us!”
