Did you know that 80% of cardiac arrests occur in the home? Being prepared in the event of an emergency is you or your loved one’s best chance for survival. The Health ministry, through Norton Hospital, will be offering hands only CPR free of charge on February 3, 2024 at 10am here at Green Castle. Anyone interested in learning this vital skill is welcome! Hands only CPR is not an official certification but will give you the skills you need to help with resuscitation until emergency services can arrive. Sign ups are in the hallway for the next two weeks. You will receive a reminder text prior to February 3. Also, the Health Ministry is looking for more members! There are two options for you if you would like to participate. If you have medical training, you can participate in the weekly first aid rotation. If you don’t have medical training but are interested in health education, healthy lifestyle choices and management of diseases then the health ministry is for you too!
